Hello all

I thought I would share some lovely spaces with you, always inspires me to peer inside other peoples homes! I love it!

Well, we are having our 2 week break at the moment, kids are off school & I am off college. I am enjoying the lazy mornings, not having to get up & rush around. I think everybody needs a break from their routines, its healthy!

Hi all

Look at my beautiful daughter on her (the riding school's) horse - Duchess!! She was in a jumping competition on Sunday & was brilliant! She is only 12 & the way she can handle a horse is amazing. I am so very proud of her.

Hi there

I have been feeling so low - we have been in Ireland for 9 years (in July) & its just getting far too long...I have seen my mom twice in all that time, I lost my Dad after only seeing him twice in 9 years & with 2 children, some days are just way too lonely! The thing is, I know we will never go back to South Africa & so I just have to accept things the way they are - & believe me I try. I often look at what I have (namely two beautiful children & a really lovely husband) - but its just the Grandparent/Sister/Cousin/Aunts/Uncles thing that is missing that was such a huge part of my childhood, & my children don't have that!

Sorry, I had to get that off my chest...On to the 50's theme - I am so in love with this era, I wish I could transport myself back there & live it!! Well - I can't do that either, so I will just swoon over images/clothes & furniture that takes me back.

Hi there!

I am thinking of ordering this fabric from Cath Kidston for a blind in my kitchen. The window is currently bare, & I cannot decide what to do with it! I think this print looks very retro/50's...cute don't you think?
